European Public Sector Award 2015

By Harrie Scholtens

In 2015 the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) was the proud organiser of the 2015 Edition of the European Public Sector Award (EPSA), the fifth edition since the beginning. The EPSA was first awarded in 2007 and since then takes place every two years. EIPA has organised and managed it for the fourth time in a row.

Now that the successful Award Ceremony is over, time has come for a more personal general reflection on the results of this year’s harvest. The official summary and report of the results can be found at www.epsa2015.eu where you can download for free the EPSA 2015 publication outlining among others the EPSA 2015 Trends and Practices.

For the 2015 edition it can be concluded that there are many ways Governments want to fill in their tasks and try to be a Partner for a better Society. This year the organisation of the EPSA 2015 Award scheme received 266 applications, from 36 countries, the highest number of submitting countries ever. This shows that the topic chosen for EPSA 2015 is hot.
